Finding help with implementing the recommendations of Achieving age equality in health and social care
Achieving age equality in health and social care made 28 recommendations which the Department of Health have supported following the public consultation. The recommendations cover actions at a national level, at a local level and for both.
Twenty of the recommendations are primarily for action by the Department of Health and other national organisations and a summary of the actions being taken by the Department is available here: What the Department of Health is doing to end age discrimination and promote age equality (PDF)
Eleven of the recommendations are for local authorities and the local NHS to address. The attached table sets out where the NHS and social care guides discuss issues associated with the recommendation: Finding help with implementing the local recommendations (PDF)
